The Second Annual meeting for the LIFES50+ project took place in Bilbao, Spain, on the 24-–25th of May 2016. It was hosted by TECNALIA, with representatives from all project beneficiaries and members from the External Advisory Group.
The programme for Day 1 started with the second annual meeting containing WP (Work Package) presentation and their latest status and progress, and finished with the Second General Assembly. The second day was planned for separate Work Packages and Steering Committee meetings.
The project group has made significant progress in term of testing of the floating wind turbine in wind tunnel and modelling of the hydrodynamic and aerodynamic interactions of a 10 MW wind turbine that is being used as reference wind turbine in this project.
The Second Annual meeting was concluded successfully and fruitfully, with very constructive discussions and well-prepared partners. All partners were encouraged to continue the positive dialogue witnessed during the two days in Bilbao and working toward the ambitious project goals.
