Final Event – WindEurope Conference & Exhibition 2019 in Bilbao

Final event - LIFES50+

The European H2020-funded project LIFES50+ was set to drive forward the development of innovative substructure technology for large (10MW) floating wind turbines.

The objective of the project has been to optimize and qualify floating substructure concepts for 10MW turbines to TRL 5 and develop a streamlined and KPI-based methodology for the design and qualification process, focusing on technical, economical, and industrial aspects. The project, involving 12 partners from eight countries and led by SINTEF Ocean, was kicked off June 2015 and concluded in April 2019.

LIFES50+ hosted this final event where highlights and key findings from the research project were presented. The half day programme included a mixture of industrial and scientific presentations. The presentations are linked from the topics in the programme below (PDF-format).
